Caroline Pinkney

A team player at heart, Caroline is passionate about helping teams of diverse backgrounds and interests come together to achieve challenging goals. Through her work at E12, she helps source and evaluate deals particularly in the digital health space.

Caroline also works as an investor at Mitsui Global Investment since she joined them in 2010 and has participated in multiple MGI investments working closely with its portfolio company's. Prior to that, she walked the floors of New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI), the car manufacturing plant now home to Tesla. She enjoyed the lively atmosphere and spent her time translating and interpreting between the Toyota and GM team members.

Caroline received her BA in Japanese and Spanish from Stanford University, and cherished her time there both as a student and athlete for the women’s soccer team. After graduating, she moved to Yokohama, Japan where she continued studying Japanese at the Inter-University Center. She also continued playing soccer and snagged the chance to play briefly in the semi-pro L-league for Takatsuki Speranza.​
