Henry Sohn

With over 30 years of experience Henry  brings to E12 a wide breadth of technology management and operating experience to high growth companies advising them at all stages of their lifecycle. Most recently he played a critical role at Apprente, a Morado AI portfolio company assisting them with their go to market strategy, product strategy and business development. Henry was directly involved in McDonalds successful acquisition of the company.  

Earlier in his career, Henry was was the third product manager at Yahoo!. Over a seven-year span during his first stint there, his role expanded to Vice President and General Manager, Front Doors and Central Services. He managed the roll out of Yahoo! Japan, My Yahoo!, Yahoo! Messenger and the core personalization services used by all Yahoo supporting hundreds of millions of users each month. Henry and Ash were product partners for many of Yahoo!’s key early products.

Henry re-joined Yahoo! for a second term, serving as Chief of Staff and Vice President of Business Management to the CTO and head of Products, where he drove business planning, strategy and program management across the entire technology and product organization.

He has invested in, advised and consulted with numerous companies large and small over his career  wearing many hats including business development, product & marketing, sales, operations, HR, IT, business planning, as well as corporate and product strategy.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Sohn held product and technical roles at Compaq Computer, Berkeley Systems, Inc., Intuit and Apple Computer.

Mr. Sohn received a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1992
