Masaji Matsuoka

Masaji Matsuoka is a Managing Director at E12 Ventures and Mitsui Global Investment. With a 20-year career at Mitsui, Masaji has held various key positions and dedicated nearly half of his tenure to venture investing, gaining extensive experience in the global venture capital industry.

Before joining E12 Ventures in January 2025, Masaji was stationed in Tel Aviv, Israel, where he served as Managing Partner at Magenta Venture Partners. Prior to this role, he was a General Manager of the Venture Capital Business Department at Mitsui & Co., overseeing the entire venture capital operation and healthcare investment business globally.

Masaji holds a Bachelor of Laws (B.A.) from the University of Tokyo.
