Mike Marquez

In addition to his role as Co-Managing Partner, E12, Mike co-founded Morado Ventures and in parallel, CODE Advisors, a privately held San Francisco based investment banking firm. His depth in corporate development, strategy and mergers and acquisitions, provides E12 with a unique industry network and expertise that is highly sought after by entrepreneurs and investors alike.

Previously, Mr. Marquez was the Executive Vice-president of Strategy and Corporate Development at CBS Interactive, responsible for investment, M&A and commercial partnerships across CBS worldwide.

Prior to joining CBS Corporation, Mr. Marquez was the Director of Corporate Development at Yahoo!, Inc. working directly with executive management on all acquisitions, investments and major strategic initiatives. In this role, Mike,  spearheaded numerous growth-oriented strategic initiatives, including the launch of Yahoo!’s first inhouse incubator, Brickhouse.

Before Yahoo!, Mike was an investment banker with the Internet M&A group at Robertson Stephens, and earlier Merrill Lynch. Mike started his career as a software programmer at Accenture

Mr. Marquez received his MBA from the Kenan- Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel and bachelor of science in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis
